Got a very strange one. I was declared bankrupt in the High Court last Monday. On Thursday, my AIB current account got frozen with no withdrawals allowed. However, on Thursday morning, SOCIAL WELFARE lodged money into the account automatically. This caused a credit balance of 300 euro and it appears the bank may be trying to offset it against credit card debit involved in the bankruptcy.
